Training sessions are geared to the age, condition and training requirements of the horse. Typical sessions include groundwork and work under saddle. Special circumstances or needs may be subject to higher rates.
Each additional riding lesson on a horse in training will take the place of one training session or will be charged according to the rates below.
Horses in training receive the following at no additional charge:
- Turnout (seasonal availability)
- Medicating, minor wound care
- Blanketing, fly masks (provided by owner)
- Handling for Vet and Farrier
Please note: Farrier and vet fees are the responsibility of the owner. Clients will be billed directly by the service providers. Rancho Pura Vida does not pay for these services.
Boarding is subject to availability at our training facility. All stalls are fully matted and have built-in drains to maintain mats as dry as possible. Three boarding options are available:

For overnight shows: Fees for stalls are paid to the show management. Trainer accommodations and meals are divided equally among clients. Bedding, tack room (if needed), and other miscellaneous items are divided equally among clients.
